The 10K walk is on sidewalks, asphalt streets and extended dirt trails in the Wolf Natural Area, through the historic community of Newport with possible sightings of wildlife and wildflowers.
The 5K walk does not take you into the Wolf Natural Area.
Directions to the start point: Newport Community Hospital is located at 714 W. Pine (Pine and Scott). From I 90 take Exit 281 (Division/US 395/US 2) and follow US 2 to Newport (approximately 50 miles). Follow the one way into the main part of town, turn left (west) on 1st Street and follow to Scott. Follow the hospital signs to Pine and Scott. Ask for the Volkssport File Box at the Reception Desk on right side from main entry doors.
